Tafsuth, or melting [Snow]

  • The spring of my childhood

... Child, I always look forward to spend my spring break at the farm Rabea Lotta (plain), at my maternal grandmother, or at Bir Slem at my great-aunt. Later, it was El Kseur that I was staying.

The Valley Soummam
Sidi Wawssa Photo taken on the heights of El Kseur

... On the first morning we were served at breakfast Tahrirt a grilled semolina porridge drizzled with honey. Then, all happy, boys and girls, we went to the fields at the spring meeting : ad mmagren tafsuth ". We rolled on the green carpet spread out before us. Here, wheat and barley still juveniles bent beneath our body, there were a few explosions of the first blueberries, buttercups, daffodils and dandelions intoxicated our senses. From time to time, we sang loudly:

T afsuth! Tafsuth!
A of ttkuffutegh am tagutt,
A of jujujugegh am tefsut,
D i laanaya n'Jebrayen the ghut!
pring P! Spring!
J em'évaporerai like mist,
J em'épanouirai like spring,
S e protection of Gabriel's powerful!

... Exhausted but happy, we returned home with an armful of bouquets countryside.

... What a joyful childhood!

  • Miliana this morning

... Today 15 furar [1 March], as usual in the morning, I open the window and, against all odds ...

... On the second day of Tafsuth
Oh it's snowing on Zaccar and the city!

... The cold has suddenly reappeared in Algeria! What has been done to anger and Furar in ending his life?

... But it is true that Furar and Meghri [February and March] end of winter to help install the spring!

I do not want to know

  • I want to know

I do not know what you do for earn your living.
I want to know what motivates you and if you have the courage to realize your dreams.
I do not know how old you are.
I want to know if you can risk everything for love, for your dreams for the adventure of life.

I do not know under what sign you were born.
I want to know if the trials of life have opened your heart, or whether, instead, they closed it.
I do not want to know if you're telling the truth or not.
I want to know if you can bear the weight of a charge and not betray your own soul, if you are faithful and if so I can put my trust in you.

I do not know where you live or how much money you earn.
I want to know if you can get up after experiencing despair and, aching and bruised to the bone, you can still help your children.
I do not want to know who you are or where you came from.
I want to know if you can stand in the middle of the fire without flinching.

I do not know the object of your studies.
I want to know what allowed you to continue when everything went wrong.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you enjoy your own company in moments of solitude.

Bow And Arrow Game Green Screen

I'm in love with my car !!!

I just recently established a very simple theory which states that the car is dented everywhere as socks with holes.
It does not move forward and there is a whole lot of people do not mind.
But I find it unbearable ... o)
So when Trish and Andrew we have entrusted the care of their cars, the Pontiac Sunfire GT terrific all fucked, I put myself in the head just retyping. I have no hole in my sock drawer is not today that I'm going to start having a car all dented.
After a little research, a few hours of manual work, sanding, molding, painting, sanding finer re-painting and polishing, here is the result.

I must say that attacking the door of his car to the electric sander to smooth it all and make a hole to drill in the lower body to tighten it by right-shock sensations are enough funs.

is not super perfect, but the thing I'm quite proud of it at all, if you do not count labor, the operation will have cost us 39 $.... o)

As Queen puts it, I'm In Love With My Car .

Gone Skiing...

Yesterday we finally went skiing for the first time since our arrival in Vancouver.

There are three places to ski near Vancouver: Grouse Mountain, Cypress Mountain and Mount Seymour, all about 30-40 minutes from downtown. Mount Seymour is apparently the spot where three quarters of people in the region have learned / are learning to ski. It is also there that our friend Mary was "ski patrol" last year.

But for our first time, we preferred to Cypress, with its panoramic views. Skiing with a sea view it's still something ... Lack of good pot, it was rather overcast, so no big sun on the slopes, but it was still great fun. And on a Monday, there's not too crowd on the slopes.

The area is not huge, but for me that I skied 3 times in my life, most recently in 2000, a few green runs are sufficient. 10 years later I'm doing not so bad, the snowplow still my best friend in the steepest descents, but a few sessions, I know slalom like a pro ... Brice says he was 12 the last time he skied but I think that in half to see his "pole plant" and descents "schuss" ...

On the slopes around 10am, we make our final descent to 16h, when night fell and where newcomers who come to ski in the output of the job (the trails are open until 22h).

Between the rental shoes, skis and sticks, and plan for the day, it takes about $ 115 per person anyway, so we will go there 3 times a week ....
